Measuring and Improving Visual Performance
With a long history of developing instruments for use in ophthalmology, the team at WavDyn has started a new chapter in the history of measurement of the eye by linking aberrometry to treatment. The NextWavetm aberrometer will be introduced to market in Q4 of 2021 and will provide custom prescriptions and soft contact lenses to patients with higher aberration, or distortions, of the cornea. Keratoconus is an example of a high order aberration of the cornea that begins in younger people and represents a life-long challenge for vision correction.
